On April 10th, the bidding results for Xinhua Hydropower Co., Ltd.'s centralized procurement of photovoltaic (PV) modules for 2024 were announced, with SANY Silicon Energy successfully making the list for Lot 3: N-type monocrystalline module section.

According to the announcement, Xinhua Hydropower Co., Ltd. selected suppliers through this tender, and the successful bidders will be eligible to participate in the procurement of PV modules for photovoltaic power generation projects that the company plans to invest and construct in 2024, with a procurement scale of 7GW.

As a subsidiary directly under the China National Nuclear Corporation, Xinhua Hydropower Co., Ltd. boasts advanced technology and rich management experience in the development, construction, operation, and management of hydropower, photovoltaic, and wind power projects, providing strong support for the safe, stable, economical, and clean operation of the national power grid.

As an emerging player in the industry, SANY Silicon Energy, a PV industry business unit directly under SANY Group, has achieved remarkable progress since its inception. Since November 2022, when the first monocrystalline silicon ingot produced by SANY Silicon Energy emerged from the furnace, followed by the launch of PV module products in December of the same year, the company has successfully established a complete PV industry chain, encompassing in-house R&D and production capabilities from ingot pulling, slicing, cell manufacturing to module assembly, officially entering the vertical integration camp of the PV industry and beginning to make its mark in the market.

Prior to this centralized procurement, Xinhua Hydropower Co., Ltd. conducted a thorough examination of SANY Silicon Energy's PV module products, focusing on their unique features, key advantages, performance indicators, industry applications, and empirical test data from demonstration bases.

SANY Silicon Energy's N-type TOPCon solar cell modules, based on a high-quality N-type TOPCon battery technology platform, boast a mass-production battery efficiency exceeding 26.3% and a module power output of over 660W. These modules embody the core advantages of high power, high efficiency, high electricity generation, high reliability, and low Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE). They have demonstrated outstanding performance in both centralized and distributed applications, contributing to cost reduction and efficiency enhancement in new energy projects. This inclusion in Xinhua Hydropower's centralized procurement list further validates the strength of SANY Silicon Energy's PV modules.

In response to the national "dual carbon" strategy and leveraging SANY Group's expertise in equipment manufacturing and intelligent manufacturing, SANY Group has comprehensively deployed its green energy portfolio (wind, solar, energy storage, hydrogen, and some core equipment technologies) and ventured into the PV industry in 2022 by establishing SANY Silicon Energy. As a new force in the industry, SANY Silicon Energy will continue to seize the opportunities of the times, embrace the new wave of the global energy revolution, consolidate China's position in the global PV industry, and make greater contributions to the development of clean energy!
