Sany Silicon Energy's Chifuma Microgrid Project Put into Operation! Another Strong Impetus for Africa's Energy Transition

Recently, the on-site load of Sany Silicon Energy's Chifuma Microgrid Project in Zambia was successfully energized, marking the official commissioning of the project. This is another project undertaken by Sany Silicon Energy in Africa and represents yet another significant milestone in its implementation of the green energy strategy and promotion of Africa's energy transition. 

 The Chifuma Project integrates a 9MWp photovoltaic (PV) system, a 15MWh energy storage battery system, and diesel generator backup power sources. It employs industry-leading large-capacity energy storage grid-forming and energy management technologies to construct a multi-energy complementary microgrid. After commissioning, leveraging intelligent technologies, it precisely smooths out PV fluctuations, ensuring a stable 24-hour power supply to the mining area. This helps the local area break free from reliance on diesel-powered generation, resolves power supply challenges, significantly reduces exhaust gas and noise pollution, enhances the living quality in the mining area, and opens a new chapter in green energy. 

 Since the project's inception, to ensure its timely commissioning, under the leadership of Dai Qinghua, the Chairman of Sany Silicon Energy, the team formulated and implemented a full-process high-standard delivery strategy of "multi-dimensional research + full-scenario study + refined design + high-quality construction," ensuring the efficient progress of the project. Drawing on experience from previous projects, the team overcame technical challenges, optimized construction plans, and completed the construction tasks with high quality through a tenacious and hardworking spirit, once again demonstrating Sany Silicon Energy's comprehensive strength in overseas project delivery and energy solutions.
