On local time August 15th, an important moment arrived for Sany Silicon Energy's first microgrid project in Guinea, West Africa - the Santou Hilltop Microgrid Project. With the last diesel generator on site shutting down, the project was officially put into operation, successfully achieving combined photovoltaic-storage and full-load green power supply.

Divided into three sub-projects according to the mining area, the overall project is configured with 7MWp of photovoltaic power and 7MW/21MWh of energy storage. The first phase of the Santou Microgrid Project, which has now been put into operation, adopts a combination of 3MWp of photovoltaic power and 3MW/9MWh of energy storage. It has also transformed the original diesel generator system into a backup, constructing an integrated comprehensive energy system that combines photovoltaic power, energy storage, and diesel generation, delivering stable green power to the park.

After the project is put into operation, the power supply mode of the park will completely bid farewell to diesel-powered generation and officially step into the era of photovoltaic green power supply. This not only effectively resolves the long-standing issues of exhaust gas and noise pollution but also significantly improves the working and living quality within the park.

During the construction period, under the organization and coordination of Dai Qinghua, the Chairman of Sany Silicon Energy, the team members overcame challenges such as a tight schedule, heavy tasks, and difficult mountainous construction. By drawing on experience, tackling problems, and optimizing solutions, they completed the tasks with high quality, demonstrating Sany Silicon Energy's capabilities in overseas project delivery and energy solutions.

The successful grid connection of this project marks another step forward for Sany's green energy technology and globalization strategy in West Africa, laying a solid foundation for further deepening cooperation with local mining enterprises. Adhering to the "Sany Speed" and "Sany Quality," the project team will continue to advance the project construction. In the next two months, other mining areas of the Guinea mining microgrid project will be successively connected to the grid and put into operation. We look forward to achieving even greater success!
