Recently, amidst cheers at the construction site, the Sany Silicon Energy Michiyang Microgrid Project in Guinea successfully completed its final power transmission and commissioning procedures, officially entering into operation and achieving combined photovoltaic-storage operation to supply green electricity at full load.

The project is divided into three sub-projects according to the mining areas, with a total capacity configuration of 7MWp photovoltaic power + a 7MW/21MWh energy storage system. Its core configuration features "2MWp photovoltaic power + 6MWh electrochemical energy storage + diesel generator backup." The 2MWp photovoltaic system converts approximately 5.4 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, the 6MWh energy storage system supplies power during periods of insufficient sunlight, and the diesel generator serves as emergency backup. This three-tiered safeguard system maximizes the potential of renewable energy while ensuring a stable power supply. It marks another milestone following the Santou Hilltop Project on August 8th, adding luster to Guinea's energy landscape and driving a transformation towards cleaner, more stable, and efficient energy supply. It represents a "customized solution" tailored to local conditions.
After the project's launch, under the leadership and coordination of Sany Silicon Energy's Chairman Dai Qinghua, the team upheld an ethos of "facing challenges head-on and embracing pragmatic innovation," overcoming both geological and climatic challenges to lay a solid foundation for the project's operation. The project's successful practices in renewable energy utilization, energy storage technology application, intelligent dispatch management, and collaborative cooperation with the project owner provide valuable references for Guinea's mining area energy transformation and infrastructure acceleration. They also offer "technology + management" experience for similar projects in West Africa.
Looking ahead, Sany Silicon Energy will adopt an attitude of striving for excellence, strengthening operation and maintenance work through scientific management, and conducting regular equipment inspections to ensure the project's long-term stable operation and continuously provide reliable clean electricity to the Michiyang mining area. This project not only empowers Guinea's energy development but also contributes Sany's wisdom to Africa's and the global energy transition, serving as a model for green energy transformation worldwide.
