Recently, the rescue of Huang Jianjun, a supervisor on Sany Group's Jiahang Microgrid Project in Zambia, who contracted malaria, has drawn widespread attention. Faced with a sudden critical illness, multiple parties responded swiftly and collaborated efficiently, successfully saving the employee's life and vividly embodying the company's core value of "people-oriented."

On April 8, Huang Jianjun developed a sudden high fever and was diagnosed with malaria, with his condition deteriorating rapidly. On April 10, he was admitted to the Kitwe China-Zambia Friendship Hospital for treatment and discharged on April 14, though he still required medication for recovery. On the evening of April 23, his malaria recurred, accompanied by severe anemia, with his blood hemoglobin (HB) level plummeting to 4, placing his life in immediate danger and necessitating urgent blood transfusion.

In this critical moment, the Embassy of China in Zambia and leaders of the Overseas Chinese Association, including Presidents Zhang Jian, Wang Xin, and Cong Peiqiang, swiftly coordinated resources. Thirty-nine Chinese compatriots donated blood voluntarily, while medical staff at the China-Zambia Friendship Hospital worked against the clock to complete the transfusion, securing crucial time for subsequent treatment. Xiang Wenbo, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Sany Group, as well as Chairman of Sany Heavy Industry, adhered to the principle that "employees' lives come above all else," promptly arranging for an international SOS rescue charter flight. Dai Qinghua, Chairman of Sany Silicon Energy Business Division, and Guo Ruiguang, Chairman of Sany Heavy Industry's Africa Region, immediately issued directives to "spare no expense in saving the employee" and oversaw the entire rescue operation. On April 25, Huang Jianjun was urgently transferred to a hospital in Johannesburg, South Africa. Following ICU and subsequent treatments, his condition improved significantly, and he was discharged successfully on May 2.

After the incident, Sany Group immediately organized disease prevention and control training for nearly 500 employees in its Africa Region, upgraded its health management mechanisms, and established a comprehensive health protection system covering prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation. From transnational rescue to systematic health safeguards, Sany Group has upheld the principle of "employees' lives come above all else," taking practical actions across borders to build a robust safety net for global workers.
