At 15:00 local time on May 5, the Jiahang Mining 10MW/33MWh Photovoltaic Energy Storage Microgrid Project, undertaken by Sany Green Energy, a subsidiary of Sany Silicon Energy, commenced construction in the Jiahang mining area of Zambia. This marks the fourth microgrid project for Sany Silicon Energy in Zambia and represents another significant milestone in its commitment to implementing a green energy strategy and driving Africa's energy transition.

Upon completion, the project will become the largest single-capacity photovoltaic energy storage microgrid project in Zambia. It incorporates cutting-edge large-capacity energy storage grid-forming technology and an energy management system, integrating solar power, energy storage, and smart grid resources to ensure stable and efficient energy supply. The 33MWh energy storage system, the largest of its kind locally, leverages intelligent technology to precisely mitigate photovoltaic fluctuations, guaranteeing 24-hour stable power supply to the mining area. This initiative will help the region gradually reduce its reliance on diesel-generated electricity and usher in a new era of green energy. During the preparation phase, Sany Silicon Energy capitalized on Sany Group's strengths in equipment manufacturing, engineering management, and global supply chains, independently overseeing design, procurement, construction, operation, and maintenance. The project completed preliminary preparations within several months, showcasing robust execution and resource allocation capabilities.

Dai Qinghua, Chairman of Sany Silicon Energy, stated, "The commencement of this project represents a crucial strategic move for Sany Silicon Energy in the Zambian market. Currently, multiple microgrid projects by Sany Silicon Energy in Zambia are demonstrating a thriving, widespread development pattern. Going forward, the company will continue to leverage its technological and managerial strengths to ensure the safe, timely, and high-quality delivery of both upcoming and existing projects, allowing the 'flowers of hope' of green energy to bloom even more vibrantly across Zambia and injecting sustained vitality into local energy and economic development."

The enterprise leader of the Jiahang project remarked that the project's completion would bring stable and clean energy to the mining area, spurring the robust development of surrounding logistics, infrastructure, and other supporting industries. Sany Silicon Energy has demonstrated its social responsibility through action and is a trustworthy partner.

To date, Sany Silicon Energy has initiated four microgrid projects in Zambia, establishing itself as the largest private renewable energy investor in the region. The Jiahang project marks a new breakthrough following the first three phases, signaling the company's transition from "project delivery" to a "regional energy service provider." Looking ahead, Sany Silicon Energy will continue to uphold the development philosophy of "innovation, coordination, green development, openness, and sharing," providing efficient and reliable green energy solutions globally, driving the global energy transition, and exemplifying the responsibility of Chinese enterprises.
