On the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China coinciding with the Mid-Autumn Festival, another remarkable achievement has been added to China-Zambia energy cooperation: On September 30 (local time), the Ruida Phase II solar-storage-diesel microgrid project in Zambia, undertaken by Sany Silicon Energy, was officially connected to the grid and started generating electricity. This project has fostered in-depth cooperation between "Sany's intelligent manufacturing" and Africa's abundant sunlight, presenting a grand festival gift that transcends mountains and seas to the people of both China and Zambia, leaving an indelible mark of green development on the canvas of the China-Africa community with a shared future. As a model of China-Zambia energy cooperation, the Ruida Phase II project excels in both technical configuration and benefit value.

The project has established a microgrid architecture consisting of a "12MW photovoltaic (PV) system + 36MWh energy storage battery system + 2.4MW diesel generator." This not only builds an uninterrupted energy security system for the production and daily life in the mining area but also helps the partners significantly reduce operational costs, achieving the dual goals of "stable power supply" and "economic efficiency." Following the successful grid connection of Ruida Phase I, the total capacity of the entire Ruida microgrid project has been increased to 20MW of PV and 60MWh of energy storage, providing a strong impetus for Zambia to advance green and low-carbon development and achieve its "dual carbon" goals.
The journey of the Sany Silicon Energy team from project planning to grid connection has been a key factor in the project's success.
