Sany Silicon Energy Commences First Photovoltaic Power Project in Zimbabwe, Pioneering Innovative Model for African Energy Cooperation!

On June 26 (local time), the 10MW photovoltaic power project undertaken by Sany Silicon Energy for Runtu Mining in Zimbabwe officially commenced construction, with Guo Ruiguang, Chairman of Sany's Africa Regional Business Unit, in attendance. This project marks Sany Silicon Energy's first foray into photovoltaic power generation in Zimbabwe and is also the first African project to adopt the innovative "EP+F" model, which provides customized solutions to address core financial concerns for clients.

The project utilizes Sany Silicon Energy's self-developed 710 high-efficiency photovoltaic modules, paired with advanced inverters and high-strength supports, ensuring efficient power generation and adaptability to complex environmental conditions. With a total installed capacity of 10MW and a construction period of just three months, the project is scheduled to be connected to the grid by the end of 2025. It is expected to generate an average of 18 million kWh of electricity annually, effectively alleviating Zimbabwe's power shortage, safeguarding industrial and civilian electricity consumption, and promoting low-carbon energy transformation in the region.

This project represents the debut of Sany Silicon Energy's innovative "EP+F" business model, which offers a one-stop solution encompassing design, procurement, and financing. This approach significantly reduces the financial burden on project owners and provides a replicable model for overseas new energy project cooperation. The Chairman of Runtu Mining expressed his anticipation for deepening cooperation with Sany in areas such as microgrids, electric heavy trucks, and charging and battery swap facilities in the future.

This project stands as a significant achievement for Sany Silicon Energy in implementing the "dual carbon" strategy and deepening international cooperation.
