During the 18th International Photovoltaic Power Generation and Smart Energy Exhibition (SNEC), Sany Silicon Energy successfully hosted a launch event for its Green Mine Microgrid Solution, drawing the attention of numerous industry professionals. Dai Qinghua, Director of Sany Group and Chairman of Sany Silicon Energy, attended the event and delivered a welcoming speech, while several senior executives from Sany Silicon Energy were also present to witness the occasion.
At the launch, Deng Junbo, Deputy Dean of the Microgrid Research Institute at Sany Silicon Energy, provided a detailed presentation of the Green Mine Microgrid Solution. This solution integrates photovoltaic power, wind power, energy storage, electric mining equipment, and intelligent energy management technology to construct an advanced microgrid system. It effectively addresses the power challenges faced by mines, ensuring economic, safe, and stable operations. The system architecture incorporates core components such as an EMS (Energy Management System) controller and an EMS dispatch monitoring system, along with key equipment like wind power converters and photovoltaic inverters, enabling intelligent power dispatch and optimized allocation.
By employing grid-forming technology, the solution ensures the stable operation of equipment, transforming the traditional "source follows load" model into a "load follows grid, source-load interaction" model, thereby enhancing the security and greenness of energy supply. Additionally, it establishes a four-in-one digital zero-carbon management and control platform encompassing "design-monitoring-analysis-optimization," which improves management efficiency and intelligence levels.
Taking the Zambia project as an example, the solution has reduced electricity costs by 60%, resulting in annual savings of approximately RMB 40 million on electricity bills. It has also decreased diesel consumption by around 6 million liters and lowered carbon emissions by approximately 15,000 tons, setting a benchmark for energy transition in the mining sector.
During the unveiling ceremony, Dai Qinghua, Huang Bin (General Manager of the Green Energy Company), Deng Junbo, and He Yi (General Manager for the Asia-Pacific Region) jointly took the stage to witness this significant moment.
