At the project site, the Kasempa Local Government delegation highly praised the advanced design concept, efficient construction progress, and outstanding project quality demonstrated by the Reida Mine microgrid project in Zambia. They noted that Sany Silicon's extensive experience and advanced technology in the new energy sector closely align with the abundant energy resources and urgent development needs of the Kasempa region. They eagerly anticipated collaborating with Sany Group to drive the transformation and upgrading of the local energy industry and inject new vitality into the economic and social development of the Kasempa region.

As the largest single-unit PV-energy storage-diesel mine microgrid project in Africa, the Reida Microgrid Project in Zambia is equipped with a 13 MWp PV system and an energy storage battery system with a total capacity of 39 MWh, complemented by a diesel generation system as a backup power source. This configuration forms an advanced microgrid integrated energy system that combines PV, energy storage, and diesel generation. The project provides a stable and reliable power supply for the mining area, achieving energy self-sufficiency, effectively reducing dependence on traditional energy sources, and enhancing energy efficiency and sustainability.
